How to Start Playing

First, connect to the game:
Click here to use the LociTerm Web Client
or use your favorite MUD client (ex: VIPmud or MUSH Client).

Follow the prompts to create an account and then Generate your character. Once done, use ooc (command: ooc) to talk out of character to those logged in. They're happy to help. The command assist will get you help from a staff member.

Commands to know:
Read the Rules and Policies of TNC by typing @rules when in game.A dash - followed by the character's name (ex: -dominic) allows you to talk to that character in person.The command say or a ' allows your character say something with no target.Using a colon : is for emoting/actions. Your character name will be printed first, then the action they are taking. Use -player/object to target another character or an object in the action. (ex: :hugs -raelynne in a great big hug! outputs Dominic Black hugs Raelynne in a great big hug!)Three colons ::: is a floating emote/action, allowing you more freedom without your character name being placed first. You must include your character name using [player] within the emote.looc is for local ooc chat, seen by only those in the same room as you.radio [text] lets your character talk through the radio in-character, with [text] replaced with what you want them to say. This is heard by everyone in-character online.To use your smartphone, type use smartphone
To use your smartwatch, type use smartwatch

DIR will show you places on the island you're on, and DIR [place], with [place] replaced with the location you want to go, will give you directions on how to get there.
phone on its own will pull up the currently online phone directory, so you can text players who are online.@msg allows you to sent an ooc message to a player.
